Marvel Rivals kicked off its Competitive Play mode in Season 0 - Dooms' Rise, offering players who've reached level 10 a chance to engage in skill-based matchmaking. Starting from the Bronze rank, players can climb the competitive ladder using any of the over thirty characters available, categorized into Strategist, Duelist, and Vanguard roles. Every victory in Competitive Play earns points, pushing you through the rank divisions.
Reaching specific ranks during a Competitive Season unlocks seasonal rewards such as cosmetic skins for characters and Crests of Honor, which are profile emblems showcasing your highest achieved rank. In Season 1 - Eternal Night Falls, the coveted reward is the Blood Shield skin for the new Strategist character, Invisible Woman. Details on how to obtain this skin are outlined below.

Season 1 - Eternal Night Falls introduced significant changes to Marvel Rivals, including enhancements to Competitive Play. A new rank, Celestial, was inserted between Grandmaster and Eternity, featuring three tiers to conquer, similar to previous ranks. Alongside hero adjustments, new seasonal rewards were added, including S2 Crest variants for those reaching Grandmaster and above, and the Blood Shield skin for Invisible Woman.
To acquire the Blood Shield skin for Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals, players must reach at least Gold III during the competitive season. Importantly, seasonal rewards are awarded based on your peak rank, not your final rank at the season's end. So, if you hit Gold III and then drop back down, you'll still be eligible for the Blood Shield skin. However, you won't receive the skin until the start of Marvel Rivals Season 3, as rewards are distributed only after a Competitive Season concludes and the next one begins.
