Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. The development is being led by Bit Reactor, with collaborative support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn. The game promises to be a thrilling "single-player turn-based tactics game," and fans won't have to wait long for more details. EA plans to offer a first look at Star Wars: Zero Company during the Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.

Bit Reactor, a newly established strategy game studio, is spearheading the development. Formed in 2022, the studio boasts a team of seasoned developers from renowned titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. While it was known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, the specifics of Star Wars: Zero Company are just now coming to light.
The extent of Respawn's involvement remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced its share of challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS last year and another multiplayer FPS project just last month, compounded by significant layoffs at EA.
Further insights into Star Wars: Zero Company will be shared during a live panel scheduled for Saturday, April 19, at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For fans in the U.S., this translates to an early morning reveal at 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so be sure to set your alarms to catch all the exciting updates.
